[RC] tax break for us active people :-) - rides2far

Hey guys,
Remember the guy a few weeks ago whose company helped *pay* his entry
fees since it was "good for his health"? Well, a congressman named Jerry
Weller (R-IL) has proposed a "Personal Health Investment Today (PHIT) Act
that would let Americans with a Health Savings Account use up to $1,000
of pretax income each year to pay for exercise programs, gym memberships,
fitness equipment and sports-league fees for kids and adults. There's a
petition on the Fitness Magazine website where you can support it. You
just go to http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/petition I know I pay hundreds
every year for my kid to play 3 sports plus endurance, plus we 3 females
are members at Curves, we've bought a treadmill, etc. etc. I could sure
use a tax break. :-)
