[RC] Mountain Lions and Deer - Suzanne Boyd

For anyone who is interested in the return of the mountain lion to suburbia, I highly recommend reading David Baron's "The Beast in the Garden". It chronicles the return of the big cats to Boulder, Co. and is an absolutely fascinating read. (I am neither the author, the author's mother nor legal representation for the cats) I've just been fascinated by cougars ever since spotting one in rural central Ohio last summer (despite Ohio's "official" stance that there are no cougars here) and have read everything I can about them. If you ride in Big Cat Country, you should educate yourself about them. If you are ever confronted with a potentially threatening/attacking cougar, don't retreat and don't "play dead". Most cougar attack survivors had to fight tooth and nail to *be* a survivor.
