Not true.  I have greys here which we bought from killers.  Also, just look at any of the videos taken at the plants and you will see  every color imaginable.  AND, according to the USDA, 92% of what you see are young, in good health and have no behavior problems.

I have a question. It was my understanding that the slaughter buyers did not buy grey horses, as they chance of melanomas was higher, and they would not use them for food.  Anyone have facts on this? Just a curiosity.
