I wrote a book, "Choosing a saddle for endurance and long distance 
riding."  It is intended as a guide through the saddle selection 
process.  I describe a variety of types of saddle but don't discuss 
specific saddles.  Since I wrote it, many new types of saddles have come 
on the market but the process I suggest for identifying appropriate 
types for both horse and rider is still good.
