[RC] Freeform/high withers - Ranelle Rubin

Cindy,

That is good you are concerned about this issue as it can be an issue indeed. When I was in Chris Martin's booth at convention, I listened to what he had to say about this. He said two specific things: One, you must be sure there is a finger width room under the front of the saddle, and that your pad is fully up into the bend in the saddle. The second is that he does have some sort of shim that can be put into the HAF pad designed for this saddle that may help.

You can contact him directly if you like..

I tried out a FF that Teddy brought to the Big Horn last year and really loved it (out of the 4 people I know who tried it out, two loved it and two hated it :). My biggest concern is whether or not it will rub the withers on a high withered horse. Any comments/ thoughts? Thanks.
