Substituting on something like that without permission is unacceptable (IMHO) anyway. I did some Google searching and found 3-4 hits on it mentioning it as a potential "problem". The lot number mentioned there was 5J019. That hit also mentioned that the problem Bimectrin supposedly CAME from Country Supply. I couldn't find anything indicating that it was a known hoax. When I asked her if it was worth bad publicity to not allow me to return the wormer that I just received and she responed by asking me why I was allowing an e-mail hoax to bother me. She told me that there is no person willing to come forward. I can not take the risk of giving this wormer to my horses. But I don't want others to be put in this predicament. I told her that I have never received this before as a substitute and that they are using this to get rid of their supply. When I quizzed her on how long they had been substituting this brand she went from "a long time to several months to maybe the last couple of months". She would not give me any one elses name to talk to.
