My Hubby's new horse has always pawed, I thought it was funny when I rode him.. but when Dan was able to ride again, after breaking his ankle, that silly big 16.hand horse dropped to the ground in the water so fast he had no way of stopping him.. this happened on two outings... and this horse was known for only pawing.. he would paw so he got everyone wet around him, it really was funny....
 
both times were after he was really hot, I am looking into buying that cool back saddle pad that someone mentioned on this list a while back...
