[RC] Vet-ish advice--swelling between eyes - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Not sure what happened to your horse, but my 4 year old Half-Shagya gelding had
a strange spot on his forehead, just above his eyes, where the hair was parted
nearly horizontally for about 4 inches...there was no swelling, just the parted
hair, and the skin was reddened, sometimes (he has a blaze, so the skin is
light). I kept an eye on him for a few days, and finally caught him, resting
on one knee with the other leg
stretched out, reaching under a PowderRiver type gate, to eat hay that had
fallen on the other side. He pressed his forehead hard enough on the smooth
edge of the gate to part
the hair. My mystery was solved!
