[RC] dead horse mystery solved, but so sad! - DeAnn S.

I posted a message to RC about 2 months ago about me out riding and finding a dead horse.  What my question was to RC was if a person found a dead horse do you think the owner that lost that horse would want to know what had happened to it- of course everyone said they would want to know if the horse was dead, where it died, etc.  Well I don't know if any of you locals (Portland Metro Oegon area) have been following the story about the woman out in Molalla (I will NOT give her name) is in big trouble with Clackamas County for "hoarding horses" and extreme neglect.  One filly was taken away from her last Friday then 12, then 17 and now she has until Sunday to find homes for the remaining horses-and there are lots more.  Anyway I reported to the Sheriff that I had found the skeleton remains of a horse and I thought it probably belonged to this person.  Where I found it boarded her property.  Now when I first reported this on RC I didn't tell everyone that I had actually taken the skull and pelvis home with me.  Well it turns out the this is just what the Sheriff's department has been looking for to nail her.  The woman even confessed that the horse I found was her's- but that "horses get old and they die".. I guess she thought she should just leave it there.  Anyway I thought some people would want to know that the mystery has been solved about that poor horse.  Clackamas County is looking for donations in the form of $$$ to support the horses that are being fostered.  I'm sure they would appreciate any help that you could offer.
