[RC] INTJ who hopes we'll move on to a new topic - Mary Krauss

The great thing about personality tests is their ability to make people look at themselves objectively--hopefully enabling one to recognize personal failings and make improvements in one's interactions with others. I don't think these evaluations are helpful if one says, "Oh, I'm bossy or shy or whatever and so the world has to accept me that way." Otherwise they might as well be astrology--which they are anyway I suppose....

Since notions of proper parenting are highly personal and subjective, I'm hoping we move away from the hot-button issue altogether now--pretty much the whole range of views has been covered here on Ridecamp anyway.

On a personal note, there are so many parents out there that parent better than I, yet I don't particularly trust anyone else to make decisions about my children. How illogical is that? I think risks and mistakes are part of the fallible condition we're born to--trying to minimize risks through education makes sense to me--legislating behavior does not. Darn it, I swore I wasn't going to take sides.

Mary K. who wishes someone would answer her question about cannon bones.
