[RC] Bitless - Diana Peterson

I have read several posts here on ridecamp.... and i can't believe what i read...

To put a bitless bridle on a horse and go for a ride is ... pardon me ... a little crazy... its like you take a green horse that never had a rider on and take them on trailride.

I ride in a Parelli Hackamore and when i got my new gelding he was only used to a bit... so when i changed him over to the Hackamore i did it GRADUALY . I used the bridle with the bit over the hackamore and when i thought I did not get the resonse I wanted I use the bit to correct the horse. So with time... just a few rides and a few sessions in the arena....my horse would LERN the hackamore . Now i have a horse that is easily contrallable in a bitless bridle or hackamore.

Please people use common sense .

Diana :-)
