[RC] Leading cause of lameness in endurance horses - Kristi Schaaf

Hi all -
I work in a library, and just came across an article
from the 2005 Western Veterinary Conference. It's by
Dr. Dane Frazier, called "Underdiagnosed Lamenesses of
Endurance Horses". I found the article interesting,
and am curious about his summary statement: "High
suspensory desmitis is an infrequent cause of lameness
for most performance horses. It is the leading cause
of lameness in endurance horses." How many of you are
aware of this? Is it something a ride vet can discover
during palpation? Kristi iluvdez at yahoo dot com

Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off)
