RE: [RC] Horses & bikes on the trail... what to do??? - Lynn Kinsky

How about this?

"Do not crash into a horse. As long as you follow this simple rule,
controlling the horse is the rider's responsibility, and if they are unable
to, they should not ride in public."

Regards,

Mike Sherrell

Easier said than done when the cyclist is racing down a steep, narrow trail at 30 mph. Santa Barbara had a horse killed and a number of hikers injured by racers on the trails in the last year (some of the cyclists get killed too): http://www.goletavalleyvoice.com/cgi-bin/viewpoint/readarticle.cgi?article=894

Even the mountain biking community recognizes the problem: http://www.safetrails.net/
