RE: [RC] Dynamite (was supplements for distance horses) - Pam Bailie

Hi - I use the ABC free choice - The Rush Creeks 1:1, and the Mops, I buy
mineral salt and plain salt at the feed store - Sometimes I go for months
without using hardly anything and then my 4 horses went through 25 pounds of
Rush Creek in 2 weeks in November - Its cyclical and based on need - I
started with the Dynamite but it was cost prohibitive and they only seemed
mildly interested in the 1:1 and 2:1 occasionally - I met the owner of ABC
at the convention a couple of years ago and he answered all the questions I
had and I was hooked! Pam Bailie

Ranelle -

Thanks for the Dynamite feedback. Not to disparage the
company (I still have a membership), but my horses do
NOT like the free choice stuff! I put out 1:1, 2:1,
NTM and Izmine free choice as instructed. They did eat
some of the 2:1 at first, but they never ever touched
anything else (we're talking over a year now). After
months of them consuming NO trace mineral salt (NTM) I
got a bit concerned, so I put out some Purina 12:12
mineral salt as well, and they inhaled it. They
continue to clean out the 12:12 container on a regular
basis, and also the white feed salt I offer, but the
Dynamite free choice products just sit there. I've
even cleaned out the little bins the Dynamite supps
are in, and replaced them with new Dynamite (several
times), but they still don't touch any of the Dynamite
stuff...it's a bummer 'cause that stuff wasn't cheap!

Also, the liquid Dynamite Probiotic jug I bought got
FULL of slimy moldy looking stuff. A call to the
company got me an answer of 'it's ok to use'. No way
was I going to feed that to the horses! More lost
money...

That said, I do use some of their supplements on
myself, so it's not like I think the company sucks or
anything...I just haven't had much luck with the horse
products.

Kristi
