[RC] [RC] Thoughts on sugar.......... - L gin


Almost sounds logical. Till you see the evidence that Cushings is on the rise. That Arabs and ponys and some other breeds have a higher incidence of Cushings. Till you consider the rise in Laminitis, that is being tied by new research to the new grasses being developed and planted to fatten cattle have a high sugar content--- that is being fed to horses....
And some new research that it isn't the sugar that hypes up kids, but rather that high sugar is fed to children usually in "party' type situations , and that actually they found in a study that sugar has a mild calming effect on kids...........
Just like us, as some horses age, too much weight and high sugar content is pushing some horses into gloucose intolerence.
From a family is severely hypoglycemic and/or diabetic..........
