Actually, Yellow Jacket grubs were considered a delicacy by the Cherokee…and survival training teaches that the grubs are actually pretty good toasted.

this sounds like the LD vs Endurance thread.  Bees and hornets are two different things.  That's what Marv was trying to say I think.  Yellow jackets/hornets/wasps can sting multiple times, their nests are different, etc?  BTW, here is some info. that may answer the first question on yellow jackets using the same nest or nest area.
