What is amazing to me is that my Arab mare can tell the difference between a single yellow jacket and a single honey bee at a fast trot. There are lots of honeybees at the ranch, as the local bee keeper puts his hives out among the crops. If a honeybee buzzes around, or even lands on, Dream, she doesn’t care. But if a yellow jacket comes within inches of her nose, she tosses her head violently. - bk
