[RC] Tally Update - Bruce Weary DCSandy--I have very fond memories of being one of the team of six riders (including you) who braved the terrain and weather of the 20 Mule Team 100 last February. Led by the stoic and pleasant Bruce Burnham, we made it through hills, sand, snow blowing sideways at 2:00 am, and the desert darkness. Though it took us over 20 hours, you were eternally uplifting, cheerful, and fun to ride with. I tried to balance that by doing my share of whining. Many don't know that after your horse was unfortunately injured that weekend, you jumped on another of Bruce's horses whom you'd never ridden, and smiled all the way to the finish line. My memory seems like swiss cheese at times, but I will never forget the six of us, tired, cold and sleep deprived, crossing that finish line in single file, at 3:30 in the morning. Boy, that hurt good. See you at the starting line again in February 2007?
