[RC] heating and LQs - Michael Maul

In response to:"What is different about these heaters that people need electric power to run them (thus, a generator) ??? "

Some LQ's - mine for instance - generate heat from a heat strip in the A/C. In order to get any heat at all - the A/C has to be running on "Heat".

For these - if you want heat - you have to run your generator.

I have a good sleeping bag and sleep in the clothes I'm planning to ride in the next day to help stay warm. I used to sleep in less but dashing out one night in my underwear when there was a loud noise coming from my horses cured me of this...
