[RC] Judging for BC and weight - Michael Maul

In response to:" My question is since I am in the featherweight category will I ever have a very good chance of getting BC? "

If you weigh 50 lbs less than the heavier rider - just finish 25 minutes earlier and you will have the same time plus weight score.

Each 2 lbs heavier is worth 1 minute on finishing time. There is a maximum but it's 200 lbs difference in weight which few of us will ever encounter.

In my opinion, while finishing time and weight are a factor - as a lighter rider, you can pick up points in the vet score by having a well conditioned horse that you take care of during the ride and have trained to trot out well in the BC showing.

There are many I know who would like to have your problem...:-)

Mike
