[RC] Tipping or gifts - k s swigart

As a person who is self-employed and with plenty of clients. The people
I give christmas gifts to are my clients (i.e. the people who have be
kind enough to give me money all year long) and a handful of my friends.

These are the only two categories of people who get christmas gifts from
me (note that family is not on this list, but that is more of a family
thing).

I only give a christmas gift to somebody who I have hired to do work for
me (i.e. I was one of THEIR clients) if I also count this person among
that handful of friends.

Two of my shoers are my friends (I was invited to the wedding of one of
them, and the other has been my RAT partner on several occasions). If I
give them a christmas gift it would be because they are friends, not
somebody who works for me.
