I don't know if theres a wrist strap for it but I will be putting my barely used Garmin Geko 301 up for sale. It has the car charger, and a really nice case with it. I bought the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx and really don't need two gps's.

Lauren

If he is a runner or a bicylist and will use it for that and horsing around, I would suggest the Garmin Forerunner 201. The three models in this series are as follows:
101- does what you want and uses batteries that you keep putting in.
201 - is rechargable (I have this one)
301- like the 201 but has heartrate sensorsing capablitlies and is more expensive. If you dont need heartrate dont pay the extra for this model.
also, the 201 allows easy hookup to your computer to upload your workouts and where your workouts where conducted. So, if you pay 15 $ a year to get a program called "google earth" Then you can superimpose your trails riding on a map that you can flip around and "fly" over the map s you make. It is so cool and have logged over a 1000 miles in the last year doing this.

If he is not a runner and will not need to use it for that then I suggest what my little woman uses:
Garmin Foretrex
101
201
301
same features as the above descpriction but the Foretrex is more trail specific with some of its options rather than a blending of purposes.

You can get all these over the interenet and compare prices easily. Google "compare prices for garmin" or something and it is easy.
I paid about 135 for the Forerunner from Walmart .com and paid about 105 for the Foretrex from a sale at Aldi's of all places.
Hope this helps

Jessica,
Thank you but I already have a stand alone heartrate rig so I dont need it.
btw, you can get the wrist strap plus extensions if you want to put it on your upper arm from garmin or they can tell you where to get it.
They have great service and are in kansas as I remember.
Keith
