[RC] ariat terrains vs ariat dumas - Kristi Schaaf

I have both types, and they have their pros and cons
for me. The Terrains are really too wide for me and
I'll get sore toes from my feet moving around and
bumping the front if I walk in them a lot. But to just
'ride', I like them ok. The Dumas have a lot of
breathability (flip side of that is that your socks
get DIRTY). BUT, like Heidi, I found them to not offer
enough ankle support while feeling kinda unstable. In
fact, I severely twisted my ankle in them a few months
ago while tailing my horse down a hill so now I'm
paranoid to wear them.

So, I'm on a search for a lightweight pair of riding
friendly ankle supporting boots/shoes. I need a fairly
narrow heel and a wide toe box. Anyone have any
suggestions? I'd love to wear my Ariat Cascades
(workboots) for distance riding but the weight is a
bit much if I do any walking (which I do)...

Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off)
