Re: [RC] re: multidays - Laney Humphrey

A fair number of experienced multi-dayers will start a new horse on a multi-day but as a newbie, I think you'd be better off starting with a one day 50 or even an LD so you can figure out how everything works. a multi-day takes an unbelievable amount of planning. If you don't have something because you didn't know you'd need it, life can be quite miserable on a multi-day.

Anybody out there start with multiday rides?? This is something I really
want to do, but I have not even done my first ride of any kind, yet. Thanks and thanks everybody for the advice on the TW with pads on the back
feet. I decided to pass him by. Now I am looking at another TW, but I
was feeling he was too small at 15h and 1100 lbs. I am 5'7" and 250
without tack. It sounds like with his build we just maybe alright.
