Re: [RC] Horse size....what gives?!?! - Jessica Spoone-Raines

I find it so funny to hear this as I look for horses that are short. My qh/arab gelding is a whopping 14.3 and has carried me to several 3 hour ld's. Thats carrying, hmm, lets just say well over 250lbs of tack and me. Yes he's built like a tank on legs. I'm dreading trying to get on my mare when I get her broke. She's 15.1 and that just seems sooooo high off the ground for me lol. Oh and I'm not short either, I'm 5'9". My preferences when I look for horses are short back, deep chest, good solid bone and huge feet, and I like it in a package thats under 15 hands.
