Re: [RC] How do you NOT act like a Newbie? - Barbara McCrary

This statement reminds me of an incident in high school when I asked a question of my sophomore history teacher. She said, "Barbara, you didn't come here to ask questions, you came here to learn!" My mother was livid when I told her of this, and I have pondered the teacher's response for many decades. I sincerely believe she was wrong, and I still ask questions of people who know more than I.

Because the instant I stop acting like a newbie who
is willing to go around asking what seem like dumb questions of people
who know more than me, is the instant I stop learning.
