I was talking to a neighbor's father a while back, and he told me he'd made
a lot of money on horses. I asked him how he figured that, and he explained
that the land had appreciated quite a bit.

We're only on 5 acres, but the land has appreciated quite a bit in the last
7 years, and it does offset some of the costs.
