[RC] AERC At Large Election... We Win!!! - Stagg_Newman

Paul,

Thank you for your post!

Really appreciate your enthusiasm for the candidates for the AERC board.

Several of us on the board worked hard to develop an excellent slate so
that AERC will continue to have an excellent BoD.

Please do give your BoD members your thoughts and ideas
on the issues we face. And do hope you will come to
convention and participate in the open forums and give
us direct feedback.  And there will be a great slate of educational
speakers also.

Stagg Newman

Subject: [RC]   AERC At Large Election... We Win!!!

Tonight I was looking at my ballot for the candidates for AERC At Large =
Board Members and noticed a sharp contrast with my sample ballot for =""> tomorrows elections here in Missouri.

On the State and Federal ballot, I had to choose between people I didn't =
like versus people I really disliked.  Or between people I thought were =
incompetant versus people I thought were almost criminally incompetant. =
I want a "None of the Above " box on my ballot.

To take a break I started looking at my AERC ballot.... Dang!.... We =
have really good choices. All excellent people who will bring credit to =
our organization... How come I can only pick 8 of these great =
candidates?   For a brief moment, I thought about trying to get the AERC =
people to serve as our public officials, and those here on the ballot in =
Missouri to run AERC.   But then  I snapped back to reality. AERC is too =
important to leave to professional politicians. They would screw up =
something that is very important to me. Missouri and the US congress =
will just have to do without them.

My thanks to those who have offered to serve. I am confident that we all =
will win, no matter who gets elected for the AERC offices. They will =
spend long hours to help make my sport better. Sounds like a win to me.
