RE: [RC] Aluminum & Trailer Floors? - Karen StandeferYep. That's what Sundowner uses on their aluminum flooring (and then tops off with mats). In addition, they coat the underside of their FRP trailers with it for protection from oxidation. My trailer is 4 years old and the Rhino lining still looks brand new with absolutely no wear or holes in it. "...Aluminum vs wood...." Unless treated, wood rots and only lasts 10 years or so. It can be replaced by local handyman. Aluminum corrodes and needs replacement in 5-10 years. There are two ways to stop this. You can remove the mats and wash out the horse piss every time you use it. (like this ever happens) or you can get it coated with Urethane truck bed liner (Rhino liner or the like). Coated Al floors will last a long long time.
