'oilskin' fabric source anywhere? Re: [RC] Rain gear websites - Elizabeth Chase

I've followed this thread with interest, as I am at long last on the training
path with my horse.

I have the Folkwear pattern for the drover's coat (found it again while sorting
other things), and would love to find a source for the appropriate fabric? I
will Google and so forth but also wanted to ask if someone on the list knew of
such a fabric source.

I've always found my old Army poncho to be quite waterproof, and in a pinch
there's enough room to tuck up under it for a personal tent (sitting on my
helmet to get a bit off the ground). Sat out a very long thunderstorm that way,
out in the field.... several times. Old Korean infantry vet taught me that.

Unfortunately, it's quite a bit too flappity for riding, and too small to cover
both of us. Delphi would hog the whole thing....

Grateful for tips,

Liz, who has a very long wish list as well
Minnesota

I've always been partial to oilskin drover's and hats--the real stuff, not
the cheap knock offs. In fact, that is on my wish list but there isn't much
that is not on my wish list.
