[RC] Some horses can't be tied - RHightshoe

Rae wrote: I tried tying to the trailer once. My
gelding dug a hole 2+ feet deep, 4 feet wide and about
5 feet long. He was nearly strangling himself
standing on the other side of the hole, stretched to
the limit on his rope. Some horses cannot be tied.

Sometimes mules like to dig when tied. The mule folks either carry hobbles
or
a rubber mat. If you really are interested in teaching your gelding to
tie, put
down a rubber stall mat where he is tied and the digging will stop while he
learns
patience. Bob
