[RC] AERC Championship: Status - John Teeter

Just off the phone with Tom Sites. He's ready to follow the ride tomorrow and call in updates to us. Lots of coffee and fortitude. We're looking at a 5am start (unless they change it at the ride meeting tonight).

  - The first vet gate is at 23 miles (Curtis Field, which was also used as the first Vet Gate for the 100).
  - The second hold, at 39 miles, is at Foster's Landing over on the river outside of Fort Valley.
  - The third hold is at Hickory Lane, 1 mile from the finish. It is a 20 minute hold.

With a 5am start, we should see riders at Curtis Field about 7am (when does daylight savings time go away? Not tomorrow I hope!!)

We still don't know the 100 BC. The schedule indicated that the 100 Mile awards ceremony was at noon today. If anyone hears news, pass it along.

Our thanks yesterday to Rob Muzzio for entering the detailed gate information on the 100 and for Tom Sites for his roving reporting with the front-runners. It makes these long distance views of long distance races possible!!!
