Re: [RC] [AERCMembersForum] Current 100 Mile Horses - Truman Prevatt

While I doubt it will do anything to help 100's - if you are concerned about 100's and giving award for 100's throw out all the other stuff and just concentrate on 100's. Start at 3 = bronze, 5 silver, 10 gold and be done with it. Forget the mileage.

Question to anyone else who's read this far. (Truman, if you
answer...answer the QUESTION not whether you think anything has a
statistical basis yada yada yada)

What numbers should AERC go with?

Here's a few options:

PNR  bronze =1 100 & 1000 miles,  silver=3 100's  2000 miles, gold = 5
100's & 3000 miles Platinum 10 100's & 5000 miles.

AERC proposal:  bronze: 2 100's 1000 miles,  silver=4 100's 2000 miles,
gold=6 100's 3000

My original  bronze 1 100 1000 miles  silver 3 100's 2000 miles gold: 7
100's 3000 miles.

What do you think of alternate ranking *in addition* to above of straight
100's...maybe with a base number of miles:

Such as once they've made the above qualifications for bronze 1 or 2
100's & 1000 miles, 5 100's gives you silver and 10 gives you gold
regardless of mileage? This would keep horses like "Honey" who has
something like 2,600 miles and 24 100's from not making gold.
