[RC] Current 100 Mile Horses - Dream WeaverIt looks like PS and W region riders are planning on riding a few 100's this year! This is a website where riders from anywhere can go if they want to see who is riding 100's in the PS/W regions as well as follow links to more information on riding 100's, including a link to a new yahoo group list for new 100 mile riders. http://100mileriders.com/In particular I'd like to point out that the West Region has two Platinum Level horses registered in the program. KJ Mozart belongs to a younger rider, Carolyn Meier, who was provided with a special award blanket for riding two 100's on her horse as a junior in a single year -- she did the Tevis and Virginia City both. Magics Illusion and Beth Kauffmann are a Decade Team and "Boomer" has over 6000 miles and 19 one day 100's. Here are the Levels for the Award Program: Bronze 1 -100 one day completion & 1000 AERC endurance miles Silver 3 100 one day completions & 2000 AERC endurance miles Gold 5 100 one day completions & 3000 AERC endurance miles Platinum 10 100 one day completions & 5000 AERC endurance miles If you are in the PS or W region and would like to register your horse for this program, simply go to the website for more information. As an added incentive any first time 100 mile rider that registers before they do a 100 this year will receive one of Jackie Floyd's "Endurance Guides", which is worth more than the cost of registering.
