[RC] Leaving horse's buddy behind to go to rides - Nikki McCormack

Hi Jennifer,

My two are very herd bound, but, like other people, I have found that the horse left behind usually comes to terms and moves on to grazing or some such. If there is not grass available, I will usually throw hay to the horse being left behind. It gives them something to distract themselves with once they calm down a bit. Now I just have to figure out how to easily get past the jealousy issues. Last time I took my husbands horse to the vet, my horse wanted nothing to do with me when we got back. *sigh*

Nikki (who belongs to Cody in no uncertain terms)
