Re: [RC] saddle slipping forward/backward - Sisu West Ranch

"...of the hill on the level and they're ready to
go on the breeching is now tight and the crupper is loose..."

Almost all of my mule packing friends use a breeching instead of a crupper. Many claim that the wonderful smartness of the Mule* allows them to flip their tail out of the crupper. The rest claim that cruppers work fine on Mules. All agree that one has to readjust the breeching before and after long down hill sections of trail. Seems like a lot of bother to me, but it is probably a good idea to check a string at the top of a pass anyway, so this is not a real problem.

*Any problem, limitation, or difference between mules and horses is, according to mule owners, a virtue and result of the superior intellegence of the mule. .
