Sorry, I don't have any rear-view pictures.  There's a hole for the  
tail but it's also cut vertically from the bottom of the hole to the  
edge, with a strap connecting the two halves.  Think "keyhole".  Yes,  
he does poop on the corners, but it's worth it to me for it to stay  
put in the wind.  Can't answer the mare question, don't have one,  
never have!  :-p  Paddi's very responsive to email if she's not
