[RC] Sluggish horse, part II - Claire Nystrom

I had the vet out to look at my mare and we ran some simple thyroid
tests and a Lyme test. I should be getting the results back by
tomorrow, but the vet thinks that some thyroid medicine will help.
She also has breathing problems, and in the 2 years that she's had
them (she's only 9), vets in different areas think that they are due
to allergies. My vet recommended that I do allergy testing and shots
since she's still young. Has anyone had experience with this with a
horse they did endurance on? And what about the cost? My main goal
at this point is to be able to finish a 25 mile ride. I've long since
given up on doing a further distance with her.

Thanks,
Carol

safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly
proclaiming- WOW- what a ride!!
