Re: [RC] Weight Divisions - Truman Prevatt

I think I see a trend here. Most of the complaining about the current NC are lightweight down. Most that support it are middleweight up.

Think about it ever since I've been around there has been no format that has been universally supported. The format in the early '90 with a set of rides, a.k.a. the "great trailer race" only had a handfull of people that ever bothered. Maybe the AERC should just not have a national champion. That would save a lot of bitching, moaning and gnashing of teeth. Oh wait - this is ridecamp, forget the last statement.

Had to catch up on this one today....lots of reading. I agree with everything that Joe and Angie have stated. There was a time when it meant something. We are going to the NC this year, not for me, but because Joni wants to compete. And at least she doesn't have to worry about 4 different weight divisions of Juniors!!! But, given AERC membership enough time....and they will throw that out there !!!! Not fair to the kids that weigh more. And yes, I ride as a lightweight...but I am a very FAT lightweight.
Just ask Rose about carrying me around. :))
