RE: [RC] AERC Awards/Weight Divisions/THE Best - heidi

EXACTLY, Diane!  I'm glad that AERC has all sorts of different categories--gives different folks different stuff to shoot for that suits their fancy.  But there is still ONE horse-rider team that accumulates the most overall points for the season--and they deserve to be recognized.

I don't object to the various division and mileage awards but I would truly
like to see the AERC recognize the ONE horse and rider team that has
performed the best over the course of the year, using the point system in
place.  After all, the Emmys and the Oscars give out a bunch of awards for
different "weights".  But there is only ONE Best Picture.
