Re: [RC] Ribbons - Barbara McCrary

This brings to mind another idea. We found out in the past that some of our riders were color-blind. A happy solution was polka-dots! You can buy flagging from a catalog that offers different neon colors with black polka-dots. Boy, do those show up! Most, but not all, forestry flagging is either solid or striped. But polka-dots.....naaaah.

That's true in northern New Mexico also, not of loggers as much as the
pipeline workers. Pipeline surveyors put out white, yellow and orange
ribbons. The rides are usually marked with pink. Too bad if you're
color-blind, you'll end up in the badlands endlessly circling, and no water
to be found! Of course, at night, they'd ALL look the same color. :-O
