Re: [RC] Jody's History - Jody Rogers-Buttram

Come on now Bruce,  you know that you are older than me.  Who do you think I learned to duck and dodge arrows from....Doc Weary.

PS.  Storme is doing nicely with the ground driving, and I have a buggy scoped out.  I just wish I had held on to that covered wagon.....but the fire damage was too much to repair from the last Indian attack.

Jody is being modest. She may have begun her endurance career in 1979, but she got her start on horseback by helping lead the Connestoga wagons along the Oregon Trail. Those were the days! No ribbons, no vets, no crew, no completion awards. Just the threat of  starvation, pestilence, and the occasional flaming arrow whizzing by her head. And she's still here to talk about it.
Some people say that even with all the difficulties at Big Horn in this and in other years, it's still "doable," and that may be. Some survivors of the Oregon Trail probably said the same thing.
Dr Q, who is starting to pack for the "doable" Tevis.
