I forgot to mention.  Mine has a center divider.  When I haul only one
horse, I put him in the front section (6x9) and haul loose.  No problem, but
I specifically bought a trailer that was designed to haul horses loose.
Also, I have never hauled loose with the center divider open and don't haul
loose in the rear section.  If you do haul loose, you want to be able to
catch the horse before you open the door.
