[RC] sand colic - HORSELADY9

on the subject of sand colic...your horses don't have to be on sand to develop a problem. I just had a 'sand impaction' surgery on one of my ponies. they took out a large amount of dirt.
I treat the guys that are on a dirt surface with the psyllium for 7 days once a month, every month. the horses that are on grassier surfaces I treat also but not as often. it is a catch 22 with the ponies...they cant be on grass due to foundering issues, so they need to be maintained because of the dirt. Sam's club/walmart has their brand so it makes it very affordable.
