==========================================

My husband, Al has been diabetic since 1969, age 40, controlled w/oral meds
until he fell off a ladder in 1994-heart surgery then insulin dependent. He has
over 11,000 endurance miles since 1973 plus has run the WS100 (Tevis)and
finished the VC100 in Sept for the 20th time. He carries food on the front of
the saddle, in his pockets. We've monitored his blood closely and for him, he
needs half a PBJ sandwich per hour plus more complex carbos(pasta salad,etc) as
close to a regular mealtime as possible.I don't want emails at my work but I
would be happy to help privately. Jackie Beaupre
