[RC] Tevis BC - Bruce Weary DC

Julie's post reminded me of another anecdote about Best Condition at Tevis. In 1998, The head vet, Mitch Benson DVM, announced that after evaluating the top ten finishers they did not feel they had a horse that was deserving of the Haggin Cup. There was a disappointed silence that fell over the crowd. Dr. Benson followed with "But we've got a mule!" The crowd erupted as the third place finisher, Sandy Brown's mule, "Ruby" was awarded the Haggin Cup. Another "Tevis Moment" I'll never forget. Bruce Weary
