Re: [RC] [RC] Fwd: Dogs on Horseback? - Raven

Has anyone ever seen or made some kind of saddle attachment to
carry a small dog behind the saddle?

Cashel makes a dog carrier that hangs on your saddle horn. One of my
girlfriends takes her small poodle with her while riding, she uses a
soft baby carrier...like a pouch. But, that's kinda a pain in the
shoulder to carry...yes, I have carried the poodle when her shoulder
got tired. HAHA!!

You can also buy doggie backpacks, or doggie front packs.

Years ago while riding at Zumbro Bottoms State Forest (MN). I met a
man, who ponied a small 14 hand horse where ever he rode. And in the
saddle, was his cute little dog!! >;] He had made a little box that
sat in the saddle, and his little dog sat in the saddle, wearing a
cute bandanna, acting like he was born to ride. It was a hoot! >;]
