[RC] 100s - you got me thinking - Karen Casemier

Maybe what we need to encourage more participation in 100 mile rides is discussions exactly like these. I have almost zero distance riding experience, and have just started the search for a new horse that I can do 50s on. Last night, I had a dream that I was finishing the Wolverine 100 (unfortunately, as dreams can be, it was a bit inconsistent, and my horse was at times a bay and a gray, so I can't use it as a sign when I go horse shopping!). The more I think about it, and hear all the encouragement from experienced 100 miles, the more I think it might be a goal I'd like to pursue someday. I don't know if I ever would have really considered it if I hadn't been reading all of these posts. I've always dismissed 100s as just too far, too hard, too out of reach.

So, you've at least planted the seed in this newbie's mind!
