[RC] Barbaro - Bruce Weary DC

I don't think anyone can know for sure, but, and this is just a guess, sometimes those young horses develop muscle power that exceeds their bone development. This, combined with an adrenaline driven acceleration at world class speed and maybe a misstep can cause fracture/dislocation. Remember Ruffian? I always like to remember that she was in the lead when she broke her leg. Many people think she would have won that race. I like to think so, too. Dr Q
