Good advice. And around here locking the mechanism on your gooseneck isn't enough. They've started carrying a spare tube to slip up the gooseneck to steal your trailer!!

My neighbor had someone drive up, hitch up to her trailer and drive off.  Could have been mine just as easily.  So lock your hitch.   Julie suhr
